Serrano Campground

Pine Knot Campground

Holcomb Valley Campground
Holcomb Valley Campground features 19 tent camping sites. Each site has a fire ring, picnic table and bear box. Pit toilets available but no showers or plumbing, so bring your own water.
Group Campsites
Group Campsites accommodate up to 40 campers and are perfect for family campouts or clubs. Amenities include a BBQ, picnic tables, fire ring and pit toilets. No water or electric, so bring your own. Max of 8 vehicles per site.
Holcomb Valley Ranch
Big Bear's new boutique camping experience awaits at Holcomb Valley Ranch, a 400-acre oasis on a private ranch surrounded by National Forest and a vast meadow of roaming horses. Please inquire at the Ranch for info on toilets, showers, and other amenities.
Yellow Post Sites
Yellow Post Sites offer a rugged camping experience. About a dozen sites in the valley are available for free on a first come, first served basis. For 8 guests/2 cars, campers can stay for two weeks max. You will need a California Campfire Permit to use the fire ring. Picnic tables are available but no restrooms or water.
San Bernardino National Forest prohibits campfires outside of agency-provided fire rings at designated sites. Remember that regulations governing campfires are specific to each National Forest. Campfires may only be started within:
Developed Campgrounds (i.e. Serrano, Holcomb Valley, etc.)
Yellow Post Sites with a provided fire ring
It is illegal to build a fire while camping remotely or outside of the above mentioned areas. Additional restrictions will be implemented as fire danger increases, always check with the local Ranger Station before heading out to your site. A citation for violating fire restrictions prompts a mandatory court appearance. It is a federal offense punishable as a Class B misdemeanor, by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than six (6) months or both.
