Tour de Big Bear

Big Bear Cycling Association has got a lot in store for the 2025 Tour de Big Bear featuring beautiful mountain scenery along a 5K and 25, 50, 70, and 100 mile course plus two 25/50 mile Dirty Cub/Dirty Bear gravel rides, plus a NEW Dirty Burro Mountain Bike event! There’s a route for every cycling enthusiast!

On site registration will be open on a first come, first served basis until spaces are filled.
Schedule of Events
All of the following takes place at Bear Mountain, 43101 Goldmine Dr with the exception of the Recovery Rides.
Thursday, July 31
- Check-In and Late Registration from 3 - 6 PM
Friday, Aug 1
- Check-In and Late Registration from 12 - 9 PM
- Cycling Expo open 12 PM to 9 PM
- Poker Ride from 4 PM – 6:30 PM. Sign up at the Expo. FREE!
- Glow Ride at 8 PM. Register at the Expo at 7:30 PM. FREE!

Everyone is invited to this annual cycling event circumnavigating the Big Bear Valley. Riding events cater to riders of all ability levels!
E-Bikes
E-bikes are permitted in Tour de Big Bear road events only. If you participate using an E-bike or other motor assisted vehicle, you will be exempt from winning Strava Segments and Awards.

The Poker Ride
August 1, 2025
The Poker Ride is a 20 mile FREE fun ride and a great way to get acclimated for the main Tour de Big Bear event. Spaces are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Ensure your spot and sign up early at the Cycling Expo.
The Glow Ride
August 1, 2025
The Glow Ride invites you to illuminate the night with costumes and lights and parade around town! Awards for best costumes and lights will follow the event. Sign-up at the Cycling Expo. Ride is open and free to all!
Tour de Big Bear Ride
August 2, 2025
Ride in one of the classic Tour de Big Bear road routes!
Tour de Big Bear 25 Mile
Starts from Bear Mountain and heads north towards Stanfield Cutoff to North Shore Drive. Riders will head west towards Big Bear Dam where they loop back and ride out east to Greenway Dr. Riders will then ride through scenic neighborhoods back to Bear Mountain and the finish line.
Big Bear Valley Tour 50 Mile
The 50 mile course follows the 25 mile route to Big Bear Dam before continuing along Hwy 18 to Snow Valley. Riders will loop back to the Big Bear Valley and follow North Shore Dr to loop around Baldwin Lake before returning to Bear Mountain.
The Grand Tour 70 Mile
The 70 miler follows the 50 mile course to the Dam, Snow Valley, and the Baldwin Lake loop before diverting and taking riders out to Onyx Summit along Hwy 38. Cyclists will then loop back to ride through Big Bear City neighborhoods on the return journey to Bear Mountain.
The Climb 100 Mile
Gluttons for punishment along the 100 mil course will follow the 70 mile course until Onyx Summit, where they will continue descending Hwy 38 to the Jenks Lake area before circling back to Onyx and following the 70 mile course through Big Bear City and back to Bear Mountain.
Aid Stations
Aid stations are provided for food and hydration needs along the routes. Aid stations will have a variety of snacks including bananas, strawberries, oranges, watermelon, boiled eggs, boiled potatoes, peanut butter sandwiches with honey and granola bars. Items will vary by aid station. There will be electrolyte drinks and water available at ALL aid stations.

Final course closure time is 5 pm. Specific course cut-off times are available in the Rider Information Package.

The Recovery Ride
August 3, 2025
The Recovery Ride helps our Tour de Big Bear riders flush out those legs. This post ride event invites everyone to enjoy breakfast at 8:30 AM at Copper Q in The Village before heading out at 9 AM for an easy road ride around one or both lakes.
Big Bear Cycling Expo
The Cycling Expo is the Tour de Big Bear hub for families, live music and entertainment, bike enthusiasts, and curious visitors looking to explore this weekend event. The Cycling Expo is free and open to the public. Visit vendor booths, enjoy a beer or cocktail and socialize with friends. Plus, take advantage of our the free, on-site bike valet.
