Volunteer with Care For Big Bear
Lakeshore Trash Clean-Up
Care For Big Bear is hosting a Shoreline Trash Clean-Up on Saturday, October 12 from 10 AM - 12 PM. We will be focusing on north shore areas:
- East Public Launch Ramp (Carol Morrison) at 41911 North Shore Dr
- Juniper Point at 41365 N Shore Dr
- Lakeline around the Observatory near 40386 N Shore Ln
- Pine Oak Lane (North & South) near the Dam
It is recommended that you wear boots, long pants, and clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Gloves, trash bags, picker uppers, water and snacks, and hand sanitizer will be provided by Care For Big Bear but you're welcome to bring your own.
How to Participate:
Step 1: Fill out the sign-up form below.
Step 2: Arrive at the East Public Launch Ramp at 9:30 AM to grab supplies. Location 41911 North Shore Dr
Step 3: While the objective is to clear litter from the landscape, it's also a day to enjoy being outdoors

Forest restoration revitalizes ecosystems, replanting trees and removing invasive species, benefiting wildlife, helping to keep public lands safe for all outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy. Trail Work Days
Join the Southern California Mountains Foundation's Big Bear Trails program during their trail work days to maintain and better the San Bernardino National Forest trails in our valley. Mark these dates on your calendar!
Forest Restoration Days
Join monthly restoration projects to conserve the San Bernardino National Forest. These volunteer events improve the habitat for wildlife, plants, the Monarch butterfly, and other pollinators. Activities may include collecting and dispersing native seeds, planting of native species, slashing, barrier installation, nursery work, watering and restoration site maintenance and restoring illegal user created routes. Some events will require driving on USFS dirt roads. A high clearance vehicle is recommended, 4-wheel drive not required. Please sign up in advance. Pre-Registration is required as space is limited.
Time: Select Saturdays from 9 AM - 3PM
