C - Care For Our Community

Caring for the Big Bear community means taking care of our community members, visitors and businesses. We recommend:

  • Slow Down - Obey signage and be mindful of crowds and pedestrians
  • Be courteous and gracious to employees
  • Lend a helping hand
  • Attend an event - they happen in every season!

A - Appreciate Our Environment

Connecting with the environment is good for the soul and responsible behavior helps preserve the environment for generations to come. Try these:

  • Pick up one piece of trash you find everyday - and avoid leaving trash
  • Stick to designated trails to protect the surrounding plant life
  • Drive carefully - especially at night - to avoid wildlife that may be on or near the roads
  • Donate to a great cause

R - Respect Your Neighbors

  • Hold the door for someone
  • Be courteous to other visitors and residents
  • Keep control of your pets and always pick up after them
  • Practice additional patience when crowds are at a peak

E - Enjoy Our Valley Together

  • Share the spaces we enjoy - don't take up more room than necessary
  • Offer to work together if spaces are limited
  • Walk or take public transit to limited traffic/parking issues
  • Volunteer with a local organization
