Hampton Inn: At the Core of Green Travel
Posted: 02/20/25
Big Bear Lake is no stranger to traditional lodging and amenities, but one new hotel in the community takes the cake for many firsts in sustainability:
Lobby to Lifts
Less than a mile from the closest ski resort – Snow Summit – Hampton Inn, owned and operated by Hilton, is offering guests the first walkable hotel - from lobby to slopes - in the Big Bear Valley. In winter, skiers and snowboarders can forget the parking hassle and head straight for the chairlift!
In the summer months, Summit Bike Park goers can pedal right into the base area. The 0.7 mile distance helps tremendously cut down on traffic making its way into the often full parking lot. We’re loving this sustainable stay!
Our owners and developers are critical partners in the advancement of a more sustainable future for the hospitality industry. Hilton developed Sustainable Design Checklists for these partners to support informed decisions on sustainability. Through climate action and destination stewardship, we are building a more sustainable future for the global travel and tourism industry. Hilton Hospitality
